"Good old Jolly Gardeners!! I frequently visit this pub... It is quite homely with the sofas and comfy chairs and with the bar area not being very broad, it is quite intimate too, unless your in the separate dining area or out in the garden... No sports are shown there as the one TV they have is never switched on but the Jolly Gardeners isn't a pub to watch sports in. The intimacy of the bar area and very pleasing decor make for a great meeting place for a group of friends, an after work drink or even meeting for a date (or an already established loved one)."

I haven't had one bad meal. The ingredients are always fresh and homemade. What a great local to have!" Love the fact also that you can just sit in the bar and get some great meze platters and bar snacks." Richie, 9/10, london-eating.com "The Jolly Gardener is a gem. sunday roasts are amazing and I had the best scallops I have ever eaten in a restaurant. The atmosphere is lovely tucked away behind the pub and bar area. Will definitely be back." SB, 7.7/10, toptable.com "The Jolly Gardeners served up an excellent Sunday lunch. Not only was the normal menu very appetising, but the specials board was pretty good too. We ended up staying at the table for about 4 hours as the ambience was excellent - there were plenty of people in the bar area relaxing playing games supplied by the pub (backgammon, connect 4, etc). A great little find on Garrat Lane and we'll definitely be returning soon." TS, 8.8/10, toptable.com |
